Tuesday's Treasure with Melody

Well I'm back....reluctantly!!! My Treasure today is of course my little break to Brunswick Heads south of Tweed Heads in Northern N.S.W. for my Birthday. Thank you everyone for your wonderful wishes! Our site was right on the river and as it is the mouth of the river we could hear the ocean which was lovely. It is such a pretty spot. Magpies warbling awoke us each morning and I could see the river from my camper bed....awesome! We had some lovely walks on the beach and along the river.....lingered and listened to a great band at the "Brunswick Hotel".....ate all the "Tim Tams", had a great seafood dinner from the seafood co-op virtually next door to us because the big white hunter I am married to didn't catch any fish, drank coffee and stitched and read in my chair by the river while watching the pelicans cruise up and down the river.....all wonderful!
Our site by the river. There is a little sandy beach just beyond the rocks.
Chilling out with coffee. I could have watched the doings on the river for hours.
I love a stroll on the beach and have to wash my toes of all the city stress no matter how cold the water.
Other half looking much more relaxed than when we set out.
This photo doesn't do it justice! The view from the bar looking back towards the river as the sun was setting!
Husband trying unsuccessfully to catch dinner hence photo below.
Lesson!!! Don't stuff your face when Husband has the camera!
We managed really well with our camper and ironed out a few little hiccups for next time but our car battery decided to die as we sat in the car to come home.....3 hours later and a new battery we set off for home. Impressed...not really!!! Turns out we think we have some electrical problem with our car or van connection...So it's all going back to visit Andy, Andy, the trusty van man to see what's up. We thought we had done so well. A bit of let down at the end but hopefully we can get it sorted quickly.I guess it's the mundane and irritating that makes you appreciate all the other little treasures when they come.
Still our list reads wonderful times outweighing crappy time.
Why not visit the lovely MELODY to see what other treasures are being shared today.
Happy stitching,
Blessings Michelle xx
