Angels

All the binding is sewn down in place on my Angel Story Quilt designed by Anni Downs. I loved every stitch of this quilt and definitely felt an Angel on my shoulder as I worked away on each beautiful block design.
My dear friend FIONA from BubzRugz quilted this special quilt for me and her work is so beautiful  (no surprise there but I'm always in awe when I receive one back) it is so lovely!
So happy to have it finished.

The label is on and I used a vintage doiley that belonged to my friend Gaye which was the reason for making this quilt.....in her memory. Gaye loved Angels and even had a special Angel Christmas Tree she decorated each festive season. This book was a gift from her and I felt compelled to make the quilt when she passed away last year.
I just know that she loved this quilt design and would have adored the Paris Fleamarket fabric that I used to make it.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx

  1. Oh Michelle, it IS so very beautiful! And such a special story too. Your friend did a lovely job of the quilting. I too love to use vintage doiley's for quilt labels and yours is perfect because your friend gave it to you. I hope you have somewhere special to display it?

  2. How wonderful Michelle. I have been following along as you work on these blocks but I did not know the special story behind it of your friend Gaye. That is just that extra special I think. You will certainly think of her everytime you look at your beautiful quilt.
