FNSI Unsewing!

My efforts for last nights Sew in hosted by Wendy over at Sugarlane Quilts are quite uninspiring to show. You see After appliquing down my hexies on the 1st border it became apparent that some silly hadn't taken the raw edge 1/4 inch seam into account. So lots of "unsewing " had to happen. Last night I was back to square one and reappliquing them.

I got one side done and halfway up the other. I didn't linger too long I am afraid as after babysitting duties and Grandparents day at my eldest Grandson's school ...

this Nana was a tad weary. So I  am sure that I was tucked up in bed whilst you partied on. I shall check later folks. Thank you  Wendy for hosting us again x

I did make progress on drawing up my applique blocks and cut out the  background fabrics on Thursday. All good to go now.

I am looking forward to playing with these. Just have to break the news to Mr R that he will once again be tripping over the French General fabric box..hehehe! Well it takes time to choose just the right piece for applique...or is that just me?
That's it from me.
I wish you a relaxing weekend.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx

  1. Lovely hexi border going on there. What a shame you had to rip it all out and start again. I'm sure that it will look fabulous finished.

  3. Oh no! Reverse stitching isn't as much fun somehow. At least you enjoyed your grand children to ease the pain.

  4. Dear Michelle,
better unpicking then having to look at something not quiet right for the duration of the quilts life. So sorry for you. But looking at your applique patterns, there is something really exciting coming up. Can't wait to see more.
    Greetings,

  11. Tun picking is never fun, but I'm sure you slept better for having it done and restarted. It's looking beautiful. It's usually me tripping over my own boxes of fabric!

  24. Can't see a problem with a box of French Generals!!! Unpicking is a bugger but at least you will be happier than if you left it undone. Hope you got a good rest after such a big day.... Marilyn's shop really is beautiful...just wish I lived closer to visit it more often. Xox
