Party Time

Yesterday was a Christmas gathering with friends. Our hostess with the mostest was Bev. Her lovely Daughter Jane handed over her beautiful home so that we could enjoy lots of space and cooling air conditioning.
Bev decorated the table beautifully and "real" crockery and silver cutlery added to the enjoyment of our meal.
We all contribute something to the meal and I have to say we out did ourselves.
Some delicious bubbles were on offer as well.....and when beautiful BIG red bows are gifted to you..... things start out being demure but then you can't help yourselves lol! Or is that just us!
Beautiful gifts were exchanged....I received an 'Upside-down Christmas Tree" complete with lovely handmade beaded trims and snowballs.....hubby is still wondering WHY? Hahaha
Denise also gifted me a gorgeous nature journal made from handmade paper and the inside cover has beautiful rubbings of leaves from Eungella National Park that sadly was devastated in our recent horrific bushfires......it was made by her Aunty.
Definitely right up my street....I love it!
My gift went to Kay....so some of my secret sewing revealed!
It is a sweet Anni Downs pattern but I made a project folder instead of a wall hanging as indicated in the pattern. I used pretty Tilda fabric and popped some other goodies inside.
It was a wonderful way to break up for the year and we enjoyed every minute.
Thanks girls for another special year of friendship, stitching and fun and huge thank you to Bev and Jane xxx

Postie has been also playing Santa and leaving some lovely mail for me.....although this first one was hand delivered by a pretty Santa Elf....from friend Liz!
So pretty and I do love the card xx
A beautiful Frostie ornament from my dear friend Cheryl too.....love him!
So thank you lovely friends. They are have now found a new home on our tree xx
Slow stitching is still happening around here.
If you want to pop over to my Art Blog *HERE* you will see the other gift I received!
Enjoy your day.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx
