Today I am chained to the computer whilst all around me my fabrics and threads are urging me to come and play....never mind "attitude is everything" they say! I just wish they weren't so pretty.
As I have said before I love embroidering on felt and I wondered what a little rose would look like on a little Christmas Birdie?
I think she is very sweet! I hope she likes where she is going to for Christmas.
I also have some show and tell. My friend Lorel has finished stitching my design "C" is for Christmas. Lorel used different fabrics for her frames and I think it looks lovely.
I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's version of this design and you all seem to have enjoyed making it which is great and makes me very happy.
Thank you for all your lovely encouraging and excited comments about my Calendar Bears last post.....you are all so very good to me.
Have a great day all,
Namaste and Blessings

Calendar Bears
I have some exciting news for those Bear lovers out there who enquired of me when my "Calendar bears would be available. Well I am now allowed to share with you that my sweet little bears will be available to you as a stitch-a-long in Country Threads Magazine commencing in January 2015.
The bears and I are so very pleased with ourselves....particularly yours truly as a lot of creative love has gone into this quilt and I cannot wait to share it with you. A preview of the quilt will be on the cover of the Magazine in January so that you get a sneaky peek of what it will look like.
I will remind you closer to the Issue coming out so that you don't forget to get your copy.
Short and sweet today....well for me anyway!

FNWF & New Homespun Calendar
After some Domestic Goddess duties and a lovely visit from my friend Ann I settled down for a night of stitching because it was ...
Hosted by the lovely Cheryll over at Gone Stitchin' Thank you Cheryll for having us over. I had a definite plan. I really wanted to complete the butterfly antennae on my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. So pleased to report all done!!!
So technically now it is all finished and just needs quilting.
Sorry I didn't think to press it before it's photo. With that job out of the way I got out my boxes of little Angels....
and continued on with my embroidery on them. I am slowly getting a very pretty choir of Angels.
These took me late into the evening so it was off to bed I went feeling quite chuffed with my efforts....how about you? I am still trying to get around and visit the other Friday nighters...you see I have had a baby celebration for a niece yesterday and I have another one for a dear friend today....Baby Showers everywhere! So lots of cuteness everywhere too!
HOMESPUN CALENDAR:
When I started this journey I had a bit of a dream for myself you might say but honestly it has exceeded anything I had dreamed of. Doing what I love, having it appreciated by other stitchers and meeting such wonderful women...a little while back I felt very blessed to have been included in the gorgeous "Homespun" 2015 Diary. So as you can imagine I am over the moon to have my Cupcake Capers project also included in the "Sew Pretty" 2015 Calendar that Homespun magazine has released.
Once again featuring beautiful Tilda fabrics and project photos from our very clever designers. It is a beautiful companion to the Diary. Each month has a beautiful full colour page to inspire you. I am the pin up girl for August! YAY!
You will love having these beautiful images to keep you company throughout 2015. I know I am going to!
Thanks Homespun team for putting together such a beautiful Calendar and making my little heart sing while you were at it.
Enjoy your Sunday folks,
Namaste and Blessings,

A Freebie...Sort of!
Just a quick little post. I know 2 in one day! I have been trying for most of the morning to provide you with a little Christmas freebie as a gift from me. My usual manner of doing this has apparently been updated...you know "for the better" ...well they have finally convinced me that I am a complete dolt and I have given up. So dear lovely friends if you would like to accept my little "freebie" that I was so excited to share with you, you will I am afraid have to copy and paste it from my side bar and use it in that manner.....so sorry! It is the best that I can provide I am afraid until I can sort out what to do.
Anyway here is what I was trying to share....
I do hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed drawing it and thinking about you all. Please beleive me when I say that I AM "sharing" it with love x
Blessings from one very cranky and irritable old lady!!!

Some New Stitching.
Good morning everyone. After keeping my nose firmly between the pages of this book..
and enjoying it so much (I am not rushing this one and am loving every page) I have done a little scribbling and come up with a little stitchery I like and I am loving stitching it.
A little secret sewing is also progressing.....ssssh!
Well I must away, short and sweet today.....amazing hey!
Remember every moment, every thought and every word counts...make yours positive ones.

Lunch at Cabarlah
The Mister and I went on a little road trip up the range to a little hamlet called Cabarlah just outside Toowoomba. We had a very delicious lunch at The Farmer's Arms hotel..
This is it's claim to fame...
It is a lovely old country pub...no frills!
But a great atmosphere and great food. This fireplace is in the original part of the hotel and is 150 years old this month I was told by the barman.
We had very nice company for lunch. In fact you may know her...
Fiona and her hubby came across and joined us. We enjoyed a good old natter and a lovely lunch.
We decided to come home a different route than the one we took coming up so we went down through the small town of Esk. Coffee was in order and we found a lovely old heritage house which is now a cafe to enjoy it.
We opted to sit out on the verandah shaded by lovely big old trees to have our coffee.
This Crow's nest fern in the garden was huge!!!
Now see this cheeky little feathered person?
Well the move was made from there to the chair next to me...
Several of his mates then arrived after called them in sqwarks and he then proceeded towards my cake plate..
and then helped himself! I have never ever seen a Rainbow Lorikeet harass people for food and then we realised...
He was slurping up the drizzled honey which was the decoration on the cake plates. He didn't touch the cake or cream just the honey....cheeky chops!
After it was all gone on to another abandoned plate in the garden....so funny to watch!
It has been a very nice day enjoying simple things. I hope you enjoyed your Sunday too.

Bears, Bears Bears!
Finally I have finished designing the Bear Alphabet and am now putting pen to paper and tweaking here and there as I go......Aunty M one of my favourite bears (and one I actually made) has been supervising my efforts...
She thinks she is my model for all of them.....sssh! I haven't the heart to tell her there are others!
Want a bit more of a peek?
It has been a challenge....an enjoyable one though to find bears doing activities or surrounded by things beginning with their letter. I think you will really love them (am I allowed to say that I do?) particularly if you are one of my loyal bear lovers out there......ok still a few to go!
I haven't done too much on the stitching front as I am having a thinking, musing and considering little spell. This is usually when I follow other passions such as drawing, journalling, listening to music I love and appreciating the simple things in life. It took me a little while (slower learner) to discover that taking this time really helps my creativity, in fact it has proved to be vital. Now please get the image of me sitting staring at my navel for hours on end out of your head.....just the act of tying up loose ends and completing things also helps......hence the pen work.
I hope you are enjoying your day too.
A little rock pool to throw your thoughts into...
