Sewing Binding

Good morning to you all. I finally have the binding on my Secret Sewing Long term project's last item. Yipee! Is a word that comes to mind. So today I am taking it with me to sit with my friends and hand sew it in place...love that bit.... having your hand pass over all those little hills and valleys of quilting that you have stitched. Reviewing the design created. Do you feel this way too?
This project was such fun to do as it contained lots of things that I love e.g. needleturn applique, embroidery and some English paper pieced little Dresden plates....not to mention a spot of hand quilting.
Do you remember this little blue bird?
Well you will find her in the latest issue of Country Threads magazine.
She became a folder for your needlework projects.
I am in such good company this month with a lovely article all about Vicki Knight and her quilts, sweet projects from Jennifer Reynolds and Vicki Collumbine. Fee from Fee's Shabby Shack also has a lovely photo taken at the Sydney craft and quilt show. So lots to enjoy.
Well that's it from me today.
Namaste and Blessings

  15. The binding is my favourite part. It means the project is nearly finished . I love sewing it down by hand – its rhythmic and I really get in the zone.

Those little Dresden’s are still one of my favourite things on that quilt. Cannot wait to see the whole thing in all her glory.

Congrats again on the magazine spread too!
