Doing the Fancy Dishes

Last night I basted several of my French General Rouenneries Deux Dresden plates to their backgrounds so that I may have a bit of variety in my stitching whilst making the rest of the plates.
Well then I could not leave them be...just had to have a little stitch...you know to see how they looked.
Don't you just love the tacking...I baste everything within an inch of it's life........ I am off to do more sorting and packing ( and discarding things and putting them back in the pile) for our trip. I do wish I was one of those wonderfully organised domestic goddess' that pack and travel so seamlessly and emerge from their campers looking uncreased and beautifully groomed.....not this little fluffy duck...Lol! I usually look like I have been dragged through a bush backwards. Try as I might I always take way too much and have no where to put it.....I have only just begun to buy toothpaste again since our last big trip 12 months ago and I took enough tin food to feed a small country...Shock! Horror! Surprise! There are actually supermarkets in country towns. Who knew??....the pantry is a lot more basic this time around. I am really trying.
Well I am dilly-dallying....must go!

    I agree with Susan, beautiful dishes and in my favourite range too!!! I try to be organised before a big trip, but always forget something lol.

    Good luck with the packing! Like you, I always take too much and then find I only need a handful of items. I sometimes think I should wait a week or two after starting, then post everything home that I am not using. Sounds good in theory. Wonder if it works in practice.

    I know what you mean about the packing,after you pack you should take it all out and discard half, then you would still have too much.

    Packing = always difficult ... I take everything I have ever not taken on a previous trip. The list is now Seriously Long!
