The experiences and amazing landscapes will stay with us forever.....so many contrasts......outback dirt sprouting gorgeous wattles, and native blossom....
We saw amazing waterfalls.....
We went on trains....the historic Gulflander and Kuranda scenic rail.....we went on boats across the mighty Daintree River and glided silently up the beautiful Cobbold Gorge.
Made new friends along the way.....
We climbed things.....
And went underground at amazing Undara Lava Tubes.
Beautiful rainforests made us just sigh.....
Pristine beaches......
Where we left only our footprints....
Sat quietly in serene Mossman Gorge and breathed in the silence...magic!
Indulged in lots of special local treats....
We marveled at Mother Nature....quirky and stunning lady that she is.
Experienced so many splendid sunsets!
Enjoyed some man made objects as well.....
We caught our breath before travelling home at Woodgate a favourite place of mine......from childhood to present day!
We are now home once again. I have caught you all up with a vengeance lol!
As always after a trip loads of washing the dust and dirt out of everything!
We have seen some humongous homes on wheels on our trip but we wouldn't trade our little "Goldie".......she deserves a bit of a rest and a nice big bath!
It seems as if we have experienced many worlds in these last few weeks from the dry and dusty outback through rugged ranges, silent lakes and dangerous and beautiful coastlines. All this in our own home state.
I am sure I shall regale you of other tales and photos as time goes on.
So.....back to reality....so much blog reading and catching up to do.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx
Wonderful trip & photos & memories Michelle. I have enjoyed seeing some of your pics on Instagram. How wonderful to get to explore your own "backyard" so to speak.

ReplyDeleteI wish I was with you!!! I have only been to Australia once for 10 days half was an International Rotary Conference in Melbourn. Afterwards we saw the area around the Blue Mountains and your Grand Canyon. Stayed for days a time at one of your state or national parks where we had the best time! Lastly to Syndney. There is so much more to see in your wonderful country. BTW, I live along the Gulf side of Florida, so our long holiday weekend was spent getting Hurricaine updates every 3hr. I believe we will be OK but those on the Atlantic side so far they only feel tropical storm rain but the beaches are really getting hit hard and it is slow moving. It is predicted to start the any real destruction on FL tomorrow, well see. The State is much more ready than any other year. Take Care
ReplyDeleteThank you Robin, we just seem to find more that we want to see and visit. I do hope you remain out of harm's way and safe....Hugs xx
