I have been away visiting my Mum in Hervey Bay. It was a quick trip but we had a nice time with her. I have done this trip so many times since I was a child I could do it blindfolded. A little town we pass through is Tiaro.....it always feels like it says....you're nearly there!
When I saw this cute place....well I had to have a sticky.
It was so quaint.....these chaps were there to welcome you.
Loved the hanging baskets in bloom.
It is so beautifully renovated and they were still unpacking stock.
I couldn't resist 2 tiny purchases, 1 for me and 1 for a gift.
I also took the opportunity to have a quiet word with Santa while I had the chance.
You just can't let these chances to put in a good word pass you by!
Once in Hervey Bay I popped in to visit my friend of many years Linda from
DEW DROP INN PATCHWORK AND CRAFT Linda's shop is an Aladdins cave of beautiful fabrics, trims and supplies.....
Rows and rows of gorgeousness! Linda has the cutest sales assistant too. His name is Ahh Chee.....he makes sure you see it all.
I was very restrained but could not resist this beautiful fabric with antique scissors and you all know I am a sucker for a spotty, dotty fabric.
So if you are ever in Hervey Bay, go in and say hi to Linda and Ahh Chee and have a drool over all that beautiful fabric.....blatant plug....Main Street, Pialba folks!
So nice to catch up.
On the way home we did a bit of a detour and on a mission but I shall save that for Part 2.
Bit cooler down here too.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx

ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know Dew Drop In is still going strong - so many quilt shops have disappeared over the years. And now I have to add Tiaro Christmas Cottage to my bucket list. Thanks for a sweet post, keeping us up to date Michelle. xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely shops......I've never been that far north!
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas store would be a fun place to visit. Looks like Santa welcomed you with open arms :)

Oh yes I love the Dew Drop Inn Patchwork shop in Hervey Bay, I came across it in April 2017 when we were up there. They had only been in their new shop for 2 weeks at that time. There was so much to look at, I felt like I was in in a Patchwork heaven shop. Tiaro is a little town I know well too from travelling past it and stopping for a toilet stop every time we have travelled to Rocky over the past 40 years.......
