Bless you for returning! We also visited the Japanese POW site.....very moving place.
Today it is a place of peace and reflection.
We were pleased we went to see this part of our history.
However I was delighted to visit the Peace Bell situated in Cowra.
It is made from melted coins from 106 countries around the world. 23 Peace Bells are placed throughout the world. Cowra's longstanding contribution to world peace and international understanding was recogised by the World Peace Bell association in 1992. It is housed in the Civic Centre.
You are encouraged to ring the bell to add your voice to others for world peace...
So we did. ...
It is a truly beautiful sound as I am sure world peace would sound to us too.
Thank you for hanging in there.....I have visited Cowra before and always enjoy it.
Hope you enjoyed seeing it as well.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx
