Friday dear folks was spent in the pursuit of a completed half decent paper pieced block no 15 for Splendid Sampler. There was quite a number of do overs and reprinting foundation papers! Could have also been a number of very imaginative words....however! I did sign on to learn a few things and I am so chuffed that I got there in the end....'twas a hard battle lol!
Block 15
I oh so very nearly piked out! Block 16 after this....for me a walk in the park!
Block 16
I thought perhaps I had earned a little look see at them altogether so far...
84 to go....that's all!
My Nora Roberts trilogy is finished and I am sad about that....loved them! If DD had not insisted that I would love Nora' s books I would not have chosen to read them. Glad I did! A very nice, naughty friend has given me the heads up about a couple more...so a searching I shall go! Boy it was hard work vanquishing that evil sorcerer!
This weekend we have been working in the garden and I have had it. Off for a nice coffee in my favourite mug and favourite chair.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx

ReplyDeletethe blocks look lovely.....worth the heartache...so well done for persevering.
ReplyDeleteYour foundation pieced block looks wonderful. I think I am skipping that one lol. I did cut out pieces for 4 of the blocks yesterday and have bagged them ready for a day on the sewing machine. All your SS blocks look great together. Mum apparently has the 1st of that trilogy so guess who shall be reading it soon. Reading Kate Morton's book at the moment and mum has borrowed my Harper Lee book. I think Tracey Chevaliar has a new book out and also Joy Dettman. So many books, not enough time.
ReplyDeleteBlocks look great. You are doing so well. I had a drink after gardening on the weekend...it sure wasn't a coffee. Not keen on the gardening.

ReplyDeleteLovely blocks Michelle.....what a fun quilt to do even if imaginative words spring up lol! Sounds like great reading...I just finished The Tea Chest last night after having met Josephine Moon the Author last week!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric search takes time that's for sure, good fun though, love Nora Roberts Michelle, good read, enjoy.

Well done! I find foundation piecing sooo frustrating, especially if I'm fussy cutting...I seem to sew, unpick, sew...unpick... only to keep making the same mistakes. I'm waiting for the day it 'clicks'. Your blocks look great.
