Tuesday's Treasures with Melody

Yay! Tuesday's Treasures are back. This has been one of my favourite things since I joined blog land as is it's hostess my dear friend MELODY. If you are new to TT. All you do is post about someone,something, somewhere or an experience you treasure. Then pop over to Melody's blog and link up so as we can all visit you and see your treasure. So go on share a treasure, we'd love to see and read about it.
While thinking about what to share for TT today I couldn't help thinking about all my fellow Aussies who have lost their homes and all their treasures. Some of whom were Emergency workers who helped others while their own homes burned. These folk are such dedicated people and a very special group. So I have decided to share something very personal today and dedicate it to all those wonderful giving people of which my Father was one. He was an Ambulance Officer in rural outback Queensland and often worked in very difficult situations, like bushfires and terrible floods. My Father died when I was only 3 and I have only a faint memory of him and very little that belonged to him. But I do treasure his Ambulance cap, the photo of him in uniform (which I keep by my bed) and his silver clothes brush. But most of all I treasure that he was someone who risked all to help others. He was a terrible Asthma sufferer and trying circumstances in the line of duty lead to a fatal attack. Today he wouldn't pass the medical but in the bush in those days it was 'all hands to the pump' as they say. All who knew him tell me he was an extremely dedicated officer.

So keep all these special people in your thoughts and prayers as well as all our fellow Aussies enduring such terrible hardships in this horrendus bushfire season. They are living treasures.
Moving on to something much more frivilous, I have been trying really hard to get another mini stitched for my hanger as it looks so bare and lonely with it's little Christmas one gone so I have stitched this one. I was thinking I would perhaps have one for every season.....what do you think?? I have drawn up some others so I just have to stitch them in time so my little stand isn't empty when the season rolls around.

I must fly as my breakfast of freshly picked ripe beautiful mango awaits.
