New Blogger

I always love it when a new blogger joins our ranks but I am really happy that this time it is my dear friend Robyn. Her blog is called Pigeon Patch and you can click HERE to go and visit and say G'day! I know she would love it. Robyn is a beautiful stitcher and is an arty scribbler like me as well. So I am sure you will enjoy reading her blog.....any support and encouragement will be appreciated.
On my home front, I tied myself to my sewing machine this week and started chipping away at my pile of outstanding Splendid Sampler blocks. Progess is happening.....
4 blocks....

And then 2 more with applique....little boo boo on the honey bee block but I think I have saved it.
I have the next one on the pile prepped and ready to go when the mood strikes again.
Back on the subject of blogging, I like a lot of you get my blog printed. Usually every 6 months or so. Last year the months went by and it didn't get done. Come the new year I finally got to it...turns out that I apparently have a lot to say (now there's a surprise) and I couldn't print it all in one book and had to split them.....cost a fortune I might add....yikes! But being a "frugal MacDougall " a lot of the time I decided this was really something I love to have as a keepsake. I do wish there was an Australian version as the postage for them was horrendous! 
Anyway I am really happy that they have both now arrived and I enjoyed curling up and reflecting on last year.

    Hello from another fairly new blogger and new reader of yours. I blogged in the past but those blogs are gone and I started my current blog in November. I invite you to visit me if you wish. I will definitely visit your friend's blog as well. I've never had any of my former blogs printed and now I wish I had. But I will keep that idea in mind in the future. Your quilt blocks in the photos are just beautiful. :)

    Your splendid blocks are looking rather gorgeous Michelle, Love those blogging books but have heard they are expensive. Yes I tried your friends link too but got nothing.

    So excited to see that Robyn has started a blog!!! I look forward to following her adventures :-) I have often thought about finding out more about printing my blog/s but haven't ever done anything about it....do you print the comments out as well? Love your SS blocks as usual ♥

    Link worked for me, so nice to see Robyn in blog land. Love the SS blocks. I print my blog too, I usually wait for the 30% discount they offer in January and then print, saves quite a lot.

    Thanks for introducing Robyn. Good to meet her. Well done on the SS blocks - you are building a good pile.
    I think printing the books is a great way to preserve memories. I get it done, too, but at the moment it is just another one of those issues that my blog will not allow. Love the cover you chose.
