On my home front, I tied myself to my sewing machine this week and started chipping away at my pile of outstanding Splendid Sampler blocks. Progess is happening.....
4 blocks....
And then 2 more with applique....little boo boo on the honey bee block but I think I have saved it.
I have the next one on the pile prepped and ready to go when the mood strikes again.
Back on the subject of blogging, I like a lot of you get my blog printed. Usually every 6 months or so. Last year the months went by and it didn't get done. Come the new year I finally got to it...turns out that I apparently have a lot to say (now there's a surprise) and I couldn't print it all in one book and had to split them.....cost a fortune I might add....yikes! But being a "frugal MacDougall " a lot of the time I decided this was really something I love to have as a keepsake. I do wish there was an Australian version as the postage for them was horrendous!
Anyway I am really happy that they have both now arrived and I enjoyed curling up and reflecting on last year.
That's it from me for today. Welcome to blogland Robyn.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx
Hello from another fairly new blogger and new reader of yours. I blogged in the past but those blogs are gone and I started my current blog in November. I invite you to visit me if you wish. I will definitely visit your friend's blog as well. I've never had any of my former blogs printed and now I wish I had. But I will keep that idea in mind in the future. Your quilt blocks in the photos are just beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteHello = I'm back already to write that I clicked on your link to your friend's blog and it didn't work, did not connect to her blog. Wanted to tell you so you can check into it.
ReplyDeleteI tried too and it didn't work
ReplyDeleteYour splendid blocks are looking rather gorgeous Michelle, Love those blogging books but have heard they are expensive. Yes I tried your friends link too but got nothing.

Gracias por el enlace, Michelle. De momento, no me funciona. Sus bloques son preciosos y la idea de tener el blog impreso nunca se me hubiera ocurrido. Es perfecta! Un beso
ReplyDeleteYour SS blocks are looking gret. As you already know the linky to Robyn does not work but luckily she has left a comment on this post so I was able to get to her that way! xx
ReplyDeleteLink worked for me, so nice to see Robyn in blog land. Love the SS blocks. I print my blog too, I usually wait for the 30% discount they offer in January and then print, saves quite a lot.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if it is the new machine and how you found it...xx
ReplyDeleteI shall pop on over to Robyn's blog after I leave this comment. Your blog books will be beautiful. Loving your new SS blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour catching up on the Splendid Sampler is surging along! Such lovely colours too. Have you plans for your layout?
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing Robyn. Good to meet her. Well done on the SS blocks - you are building a good pile.
ReplyDeleteI think printing the books is a great way to preserve memories. I get it done, too, but at the moment it is just another one of those issues that my blog will not allow. Love the cover you chose.
How nice to have Robyn as a new blogger...
ReplyDeleteLots of pretty SS blocks Michelle.
I've just popped over to visit Robyn. Thanks for sharing. Who do you use to print your blog?
