Progress has been made with the cream row of hexies on Brinton Hall. I just had to join two to see what it looked like......
It looks a bit white there but the fabric actually has a little tan floral design and is much nicer in real life. I see lots and lots of 1 inch hexies in my future!
This month's Rainbow Scrap Challenge colour was "SEA GREEN"
Here in began the 'challenge ' part for me....not a colour I would usually have in my stash. However during my search for something 'suitable ' I discovered a little bundle of charm squares...where from I have no clue, but I found a little co-ordinating group of sea greenish squares.....
Plus a perfect birdie red for the applique....very chuffed! So I set to work and now February is done and dusted...early for once lol!
ooh! well done! satisfied the sea green task! love your birdy
ReplyDeleteSea green is a lovely colour! We are surviving the heat and are not looking to next weekend, as it's supposed to be a real stinker.
ReplyDeleteWell done with the sea-green work Michelle, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh the heat sounds so nasty... so much of the East is really copping it bad... & the West is not really getting consistent summer weather... strange times!
We woke up to frost this morning. Lovely hexxies. I have only made a Hexxy turtle so far. I must try something bigger

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to keep cool. I have been house painting in the mornings, by the afternoons I look like a zombie frozen in time (cant move these old bones). Take care, Guida.

Well done on finding some Sea green - I'm thinking I may have trouble with that colour too - but haven't had a search yet! Your wee block is very sweet.

I spoke to my sister who lives on the other side of Australia - she said it was 41 degrees. I imagine your weather is similar. Keeping cool is definitely in order! Your hexies are wonderful and the sea green looks perfect!
