Moving on Part One

We left Ballarat and headed north.
Under the Memorial Arch and along the Honour Avenue that went on for KMS. So thought provoking at the loss of all those young lives.
We headed for a place we fell in love with when we first visited....the Grampians. We camped at Stawell this time in a very natural caravan park called Grampian Gate. This was the view out of my bedroom window.....Waltzing Matilda came to mind.
We revisited the Mckenzie Faĺls to see the result of all the rain in the area....spectacular!

Much more water flowing than the last time.

The best part of visiting here is a dear friend and hubby live here too....my friend Cheryl and her hubby....

We did have a fun time together....loads of laughs and some retail shopping where Cheryl works in Stawell at the craft and gift store.
We managed some more bushwalking and I just love the rugged aspects of it.
Beehive Falls was lovely not nearly as spectacular as McKenzie but so worth the walk.

Love the views across the valley....

I resisted the urge to run the track of the Stawell Gift....

The rose gardens were just gorgeous....and the scent devine. I hope you will indulge me a few more pics.

Stawell is a lovely town.....
Next stop.....Mildura!
