Good morning everyone. Beautiful sunshine streaming in my windows this fine Brissy winter morning....a bit cool by Queensland standards. I don't have a lot that I can show you stitching wise but I hope to continue on with my "quilting a little each day" in my chair in the sunshine later today.
I received some lovely mail today. These gorgeous buttons...
from the very clever Yvonne from Yvonne W. Designs Yvonne makes and hand paints the sweetest little buttons and brooches as well as designing stitcheries to showcase them. I think they are perfect to finish off that special project or to give as a gift to a "stitchy" friend. You should pop over for a visit and a look around. I just can't pick a favourite, they are all sooo cute! I will definitely be visiting again. LOVE them Yvonne!
Just in case you wondered I am still flinging my coloured pencils around but my projects are taking a little bit longer as I am learning a lot about backgrounds and with coloured pencils there is no easier way..you just have to do the layers. These are the two WIP...one is nearly finished and one is managing by the skin of his teeth to avoid the recycling bin....
I recently had my 3rd try of pastels....ahh nope! I couldn't scurry back to my pencils quick enough....not saying NEVER but not now! My friends will laugh when I say that I never knew I was such a details person and control freak...apparently they did! Pastels were just tooo loose and free for me! Between you and me I think it may have been the person in charge of them actually.
Enjoy your day,
I am off to enjoy one of these....
Namaste and Blessings,
Michelle xxx

Very cute xmas buttons Michelle and your drawings are just so beautiful - so much work and detail in them
ReplyDeleteYou must have a lot of patience doing those drawings. I tried pastels years ago, still have them in a cupboard somewhere. Never got past the charcoal lol.Is that a Old Country Roses mug?
ReplyDeleteHow adorable are those buttons! Neither of your sketches deserve to be anywhere near a recycling bin- they are both amazing. My drawing attempts still look like something from kindy.
