Happy Birthday and FNWF results

Good Morning! The first thing I would like to do is wish my dear and sweet friend Helen a wonderful birthday. I had lunch with her and our other lovely friend Janeen yesterday after Yoga. Helen was the reason I really wanted to make a special journal cover.
Helen was thrilled with her journal which in turn made me very happy. A close up of said journal.
I was really happy with how it turned out despite all the angst in the beginning.
Happy Birthday my  lovely friend xxx
FNWF:
I started in the afternoon and managed to hand quilt the last 2 blocks and one border of "Strawberries"
so I am now on the home stretch with just the last 2 borders to quilt. About 8.30 pm my fingers were a bit sore so I put it aside and did a little stitching on my last stitchery mini "Winter".
Whilst stitching I thinking about all those poor folk in Bundy and throughout Queensland and NSW affected by the fires and floods so as I don't drink beer (except Bundaberg's magnificent ginger beer) I raised a glass of one of my favourites....to you all.
Now I never said at any time I was a wild woman. LOL But seriously I hope your recovery is swift. I for one will be upping my purchase of my favourite "Bundy Beverages" and making an extra effort to support our Queensland growers buying their produce whenever I can.
I am off to do a little sewing hopefully on my Summer mini as my frame is bare and then I shall pop over to our lovely FNWF hostess Cheryll and then go and see what you all got up to last evening.
Blessings Michelle xxx

  9. Helen looks very pleased with the beautiful journal you made her, it's lovely. That's the only problem with hand quilting, the fingers can't keep going as long as a machine, but your quilt is looking good. Great idea to support Qld when shopping.
