A day for stitching!!!

Well here in Australia a huge battle rages today. The "Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000kms" race takes place and if you happen to belong to a family who has members who are avid followers of V8 motorcars you better find something else to do because the race goes all day and the 'avid follower' does not budge from the TV all day. Some one is such an avid follower I have lost count of the times I have had to drive in our Commodore around the Bathurst track when on holidays there.It is a battle between Ford and Holden followers and as we are a "Holden" family it's a big day here in our household....SO becasuse of this.....
I am spending the day doing this....
and a lot of this........
Thank goodness it only comes but once a year!!!! Happy Stitching or Motor racing whichever your enjoying today,

    I can identify Michelle. My son, who no longer lives at home, was our avid follower. In the middle of the race today my DH said to me "Watch whatever you want " wow how our lives have changed! Yay!

    I am laughing as I write this. We have had Bathurst on all day. Then the switch was made to the Rugby to see Australia win. Next was the grand prix in Japan. And right now it is the rugby between NZ and Argentina. I have contentedly worked in my sewing room with no disturbances!!

    I've had my eardrums assaulted by the sound of revving race cars all day. Such was my interest that I had a three hour Nanna nap!

    I thought I might not have to watch sport on the TV now that AFL is done....it appears I was so wrong!

    Glad you spent the day doing things you love!

    Lucky you had something nice to do instead of having to listen to the race, and to be able to do it uninterrupted, that's a definite win.

    It is always nice to have some stitching to do on days like these when you are not overly interesting in what Hubby dearly loves . Enjoy.

    G'day Michelle. I can relate to what you say. Hubby is a die hard car fan and is Ford through and through. On the other hand, I am a Holden fan, so it's always a bonus for me if they win. Take care. Liz...
