After reading Robyn's (Daisy Quilts) post about Jennifer's (that girl that quilt) post about Quilting without obligation I popped over and had a look too and it was very interesting. To read more visit Jennifers blog at http://thatgirlthatquilt.blogspot.com/ .
So Why do I quilt???
I love being able to express myself creatively as I think it helps you find a wonderful part of yourself.
I love being connected to all those women who quilted and stitched before me without all the gismos we have today and it's not an obligation I feel but a privledge.
I love all the wonderful women who I have met and befriended through stitching and who understand the overwhelming desire to own 'that' piece of fabric.
I love the community amongst women quilting has created.
I love the mediatative experience of stitching quietly lost in the moment.
I love that you can take scraps and create a useful and beautiful object.
I follow the beat of my own drum (ask my family and friends) Stitch what I like. How I like and with What I like. I love that we are all different and that quilting and stitching has something for everyone.
SO GO ON QUILT WITHOUT OBLIGATION AND WITH YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL SPECIAL
STYLE! No one will do it quite like you!! (and thats a good thing)
Thanks Robyn and Jennifer.
